About Me

He did his graduation in 1974 from Nishtar Medical College. After graduating he proceeded to Dublin, Ireland and worked at Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Infirmary. He completed his Diploma in Ophthalmology in 1978 before joining Nishtar Medical College as Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology in 1980. Professor Bodla served at Nishtar Medical College, Multan from 1980 till 1989 as Assistant and than Associate Professor of Ophthalmology. He was one of the pioneers in the region to start intraocular lens implant, corneal transplants and phacoemulsification cataract surgery. He always kept his interest in research and has more than 50 national and international presentations to his credit. He has been an active and regular participant and presenter in APAO, ICO, SAARAC & AFROASIAN congresses. He has published in different Journal of Pakistan and abroad, his primary area of research is Glaucoma. He has been on the research panel of Upjohn. He actively participated in the teaching process through out his career and served as President of Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan Multan Branch 1996-1998 & 2005-2007. He is Executive Vice President of Pakistan Glaucoma Association since 2007. He has been serving as Professor of Ophthalmology Multan Medical & Dental College Multan Since Oct,2008. Currently he performs cataract and glaucoma surgery at Bodla Eye Care as well as laser treatment (LASIK) refractive surgery at Wavelaz.
